Stunning UK model Jodie Marsh thanks supplements for ripped new body

The UK glamor model Jodie Marsh is best known for her racy outfits and appearances on celebrity reality TV shows. But now she is grabbing headlines for her performances as a professional bodybuilder and her sensational new body image, which has been fuelled by a strict training regime and the use of diet supplements.

Marsh is no stranger to publicity, having forged a successful career in the media through her regular appearances on the pages of glossy glamor magazines, usually wearing very little by way of clothing. Her substantially augmented breasts and plastic facial surgery have drawn attention from gawping men over the years, but now her body is receiving attention from a somewhat different crowd.

Over the last two years, Miss Marsh has become something of a gym bunny, producing a YouTube video in 2010 focussing on how to develop rock hard abs. But it is in the last three or four months that the most drastic transformation of her body has taken place.

A strict diet, involving seven whey protein powder shakes and 15 egg whites per day, has seen Marsh shed over a stone-and-a-half in weight without the use of popular fat burners that many bodybuilders use to lose unwanted weight.

To shape her body and tone her muscles to a level at which she could enter bodybuilding competitions, Miss Marsh took up a training routine involving three hours of cardiovascular training, two hours of weights and one hour working on her abdominal muscles through sit-ups and crunches. She also spends an hour a day working on her poses and routines, in order to be ready to compete at bodybuilding competitions.

The 32-year-old Essex girl has already achieved a fifth-place finish in the Natural Physique Association (NPA) Mike Williams Classic and Pro-Am Bodybuilding Championships in the city of Sheffield, and seems intent on making a long-term career out of her bodybuilding exploits.
Miss Marsh is clearly happy with the way her body looks, telling Metro: “My self-esteem is higher, my confidence is higher, I feel more secure, feel powerful – I almost feel invincible. I do feel a bit like Superwoman.”

Jodie’s new body has provoked a mixed reaction in UK newspapers but she says she can understand those who are put off by the high-octane world of weight training and bodybuilding.

She said: “If you’re not in the bodybuilding world it is scary, but to me it is normal. The more muscly and defined the better. It’s natural bodybuilding and not steroid. The steroid ones are f***ing scary. I think I still look really feminine.”
